TLCSD Technology
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!
I hope you had a fabulous summer and you're ready for a fantastic year. I am excited to be back in the classroom this September to kick off PK-5th Grade Computer Science & Digital Fluency (CSDF). I'll also be teaching 6th Grade CSDF at the MHS during Semester 1. I have lots of updates and buttons are below to get you started with tech this fall.
Dan Neale and I are still planning on providing the exemplary IT service you're used to, but our response times will be a bit slower this year. Here are some things you need to know about IT for 2024-2025:
>> Ticket responses may feel slower this year than usual since I will be in the classroom quite a bit.
>> I'm flying solo for IT on Wednesdays when Dan Neale is assigned to AEC for the day.
>> You may see a different face - our district's NERIC Team Manager, John Ianuzelli, will be pitching in to prevent us from falling too far behind on tickets.
>> Data Privacy Training will be happening in October and I'm really hoping you are going to LOVE it this year. More to come on the Greatest Training Ever - I'm making it fun and E-A-S-Y.
>> You will get tired of hearing "put in a ticket", but it is for a good reason, I promise. When you call, text, or email me for help, I am the only one that sees it and if I am in a classroom, it could be a bit before I see it. When you put in a ticket instead, our entire NERIC team can see it and jump in to assist, even when they are remote. John will be basing his trips to Tupper on the number of tickets in our queue.

***Any colleague can put in a ticket on your behalf if you're not able to.***
I will also link this page in my email signature and you can find it on the district website in our Staff Directory
Have a wonderful September and I hope to see you around this fall!
Alicia
